Universal Brotherhood Day-2022 (129th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address) and
Inauguration of "Vivekananda Bala Samskar”


On the occasion of 129th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda's Historical speech at world parliament of Religions at Chicago, USA today the Ashrama Secretary Swami Sukritananda garlanded the Statue of Swami Vivekananda near SV Medical College, Tirupati and paid Tributes.

Speaking on this occasion Swami Sukritananda told that on this day in 1893. Swami Vivekananda addressed at Chicago, In his speech Swamiji told that we believe not only in Universal tolerance but we accept all the Religions are True. ‘He is next to Adi Shankaracharya in spearding Sanatana Dharma’ as said by Balgangadhar Tilak. He asked every citizen of India should follow his message.  With Swami Vivekananda speech in Chicago, Indian tradition, Culture, Spirituality became world famous and Bharat - became “Vishwaguru”.

Later “Vivekananda Bala Samskar" a programme for High School Students between 5th to 9th Class inaugurated in the Ashrama premises. This a weekly Sunday program for High School Students.  Speaking on this occasion Swami Sukritanandaji told that in this samskara program students will be taught Vedic Chanting, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga, Bhajans, Public Speaking, Moral Values & Personality Development.

The Chief Guest Dr. Krishna Prashanthi said that Swami Vivekananda is a divine soul. Because of Chicago speech the world came about the Indian tradition, culture, spirituality and students should become good citizens by following the message of swami Vivekananda. Parents should take of care their children and they should prepare them to serve the Society.

In this around 30 students from different schools participated. Swami Vishwarajanandaji proposed vote of thanks. Prof. P V Reddy, Dr. G S Prasad, Smt. G. Sreedevi, Dr. Leela, parents and other devotees participated in this program.

Summer Camp  7th – 22nd May 2022

Our centre organized ‘Samskara Sibiram’ (Summer Camp) for the local students from 7th to 22nd May 2022 in the ashrama premises. 68  Boys and Girls of 5th to 9th standard were admitted to the camp.

The camp was inaugurated on Saturday 7th May. Classes were conducted from 8.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m. 

Subjects taught Vedic chanting, singing of devotional songs, Yoga and Meditation techniques, Drawing, Spoken English and Personality development with moral and spiritual values, by experts in the relevant subjects.

Competitions were conducted to the participants in Vedic prayers Shanti Mantras chanting,Bhagavad Gita, singing, drawing and yoga Asanas etc.. Prizes were distributed to the winners in the Plenary session. A concluding session was conducted on 22.5.22. Pada puja to parents of the participant children was arranged on that day. Students worshipped Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna with floral offerings. Students as well as parents expressed their happiness for the opportunity in participating in the camp. 

In the concluding session Sri Shesha Sailendra -Chief Audit Officer, TTD & Dr. P. Muralikrishna-Principal of S.V Ayurvedic college, TTD participated and addressed students and parents. Meeting ended with requests from parents to continue the camp every summer.
