Concluding program of Samskara Shibiram
Summer Camp 2nd – 21st May 2023

Our centre organized ‘Samskara Sibiram’ (Summer Camp) for the local students from 2nd to 21st May 2023 in the ashrama premises. 50+ Boys and Girls of 5th to 9th standard were admitted to the camp.

“SAMSKARA SIBHIRAM” – CONCLUDING PROGRAM – SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

“We want that Education by which the Character is formed, Strength of Mind is increased, the Intellect is Expanded, and by which one can stand on One’s Own Feet”- Swami Vivekananda.

  Today in the Ashrama Premises, the Concluding program of Samskara Sibhiram was celebrated in a grand and traditional manner. In the beginning, Sri Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Puja was conducted. After Vedic Chanting by Students. “Pada Pooja to Parents” by students was performed in the Swami Vivekananda Sabhangana. On this occasion, a meeting was organised, which was presided by Ashrama Secretary Swami Sukritananda ji and Dr. P. Muralikrishna, Principal, SV Ayurvedic College, Tirupathi was Chief Guest and Dr, N. Narasimhacharya, Sub Editor, TTD Publications was Guest Speaker.

Swami Sukrithananda ji told that samskara sibhiram was held for 20 days from 2nd may to 21st may. In this program yoga, meditation, Vedic chanting, drawing, keerthanas, personality development classes were organised to inculcate good habits in the children. “Arise, Awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” – as told by swami Vivekananda, each student should work hard and they should reach their goal. Swamiji sung a song: O manava, Uthistha, Jagruthaha.. Sodara…”. As Swamiji told everybody should work for the welfare of the society. “Jagat Hithayacha….”.. Swamiji told that “Values are not taught, but they are caught”. He asked the students to respect parents, elders and do service to the society.

Dr. Muralikrishna, chief guest said, Education should not only for money earning, but it should be useful to the society. Children are like raw clay and the parents should mould them in a proper way so that they should be useful to the society and do service to the society. As swami Vivekananda told the essence of one crore of granths of books is nothing but ‘ paropakaram..’ as told in ‘paraopakaram idham shareeram…’.Knowledge and Education along with satseelam and samskaram will give fruitful results.  The guest speaker Dr. N. Narasimharacharya told that Guru should practice what he teaches to the students before teaching them. Parents should be role model to their children. They have to taught good manners and samkara to their children. Through knowledge, service and samsksara only we will reach god and attain moksha.

Later Prizes distributed to the students who won the competitions held in Yoga, Vedic Chanting, Drawing, Music and elocution competitions. I Prize winners Yoga - K. Mahathi, Music-Hima Rashmi, Elocution – Hima Rashmi, Geetha Chanting- Hima Rashmi, and Drawing R.T.K. Varunika Sri.  Dr. Leela- MMD welcomed the guests on to the dais. Ashrama Asst. Secretary Swami Vishwarajananda ji proposed vote of thanks. Books and Bhojan prasada distributed to the parents and devotees. Dr. GS Prasad, Sri Jayarama Prasad, Sri Naga Prasad, Sri Srihari Rao and other devotees participated in this program.
