Summer camp -2022 (SAMSKAR SHIBIR)

Eligibility: 5th to 9th class Students 

Timings: Morning 8.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m.

Sri Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati is organizing a Summer camp (Samskar Shibir) for young school students with an objective to teach good habits and skills.  The training and skills taught in the summer camp will mold and inspire young students to aspire and lead a great and noble life. As  only a limited number of students can be accommodated, the parents are requested to register their wards early and utilize this opportunity.

Subjects in the study:

  1. Veda mantras, Sri Bagavathgita, Meditation, Bhajans.

  2. Drawing – Recitation of poems

  3. Annamacharya kirtanas- teachers (Artists) from Sri Annamacharya project.

  4. Personality development, soft skills etc

Note: Free distribution of Reading material and light refreshments 

"Samskara Shibiram (Summer Camp)" are conducted during Summer holidays for Children from class 6 th to 9 th.
Prior registration is mandatory.

 Timings of the camp was from 8.00 am to 11.30 am for 15 days, from May 5th to 19 th . 70 boys and girls participated in the camp.
Children were taught to Chant Vedic Mantras and Bhagavadgita, singing bhajans and stotras. It was followed by Yoga session which included Suryanamaskaram, Yogasanas, Pranayama and meditation. After drinks break children were taught moral values through stories from Ramayana, Mahabharata and lives of great personalities. It was followed by creative session through music, craft, magic and games. Children also participated in essay writing and speech competitions based on life and message of Swami
Vivekananda. 

Concluding program was held on Sunday, 19 th May 2019. Dr. Manikandan, Diretor, Regional Science Centre, Tirupati and Dr. Renu Dikshit, Faculty, SV Ayurvedic College, Tirupati were the guests. Prayer by children, Speeches, Quotations of Swami Vivekananda, feedback from the participants and their parents were part of the program. After the address by the guests, prizes were given away to the winners of various competitions.

  2. Recognition of the dignity of the individual and the spiritual unity and equality of all human beings.
  3. Realization of the fact that one’s true welfare and progress is inseparably linked to that of others, and that sharing and loving service must become an integral part of one’s life.
  4. Stress on the truth that we are the makers of our own destiny, and
  5. Individual and social well-being can be achieved only through steady and sustained effort.

Two sessions are held every year.
