National Youth Day Celebration at Tirupati Ashrama – 7 January 2026

The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati, celebrated National Youth Day in advance on 7 January 2026, at Vivekananda Circle, Tirupati. The programme began with floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s statue, followed by a procession to the Ashrama’s Vivekananda Auditorium.

Swami Sukritanandaji, Secretary, presided over the meeting and welcomed the guests and students.

Prof. K.N. Satyanarayana, Director, IIT Tirupati, spoke on Swami Vivekananda’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat leading to Viksit Bharat.

Prof. T. Narsinga Rao, Vice-Chancellor, S.V. University, urged students to emulate Swamiji’s ideals and strive for excellence.

Shatavadhani Amudala Murali emphasized five virtues for success: alertness of a crow, patience of a crane, light sleep of a dog, moderation in food, and health.

Dr. P. Muralikrishna, retired Principal, Ayurveda College, shared practical applications of Swamiji’s teachings in guiding youth and parents.
Students spoke on lessons from Swamiji’s life and received awards for competitions held earlier.

In his concluding address, Swami Sukritanandaji, Secretary, exhorted students to live by Swamiji’s inspiring messages. 250 Students from different Schools and UG/PG Colleges, and Devotees 

Swami Sattwasthanandaji, Assistant Secretary, congratulated the participants and wished them success.

The programme was compered by Sri Akula Malleshwara Rao, retired Director, Akashvani.

The event concluded with the National Anthem.

The celebration reflected the spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s call to the youth—to arise, awake, and work for the nation’s upliftment. Noon lunch is served to all participants.
